Profarm Operational Platform

A large multi-location farming enterprise was tracking critical business metrics using paper logs and scattered Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Individual field supervisors logged worker hours, task completions, and daily stock usage by hand.

This manual flow created major operational friction:

• Delayed Reporting: Compiling monthly operational performance reports took the administrative team over three working days.
• Inventory Leakage: Fertilizer and seed stocks did not match ledger updates, with zero real-time audit logs.
• Payroll Discrepancies: Calculating worker earnings across variable shifts and agricultural sectors resulted in constant errors.

We developed a unified full-stack operations ledger to replace all spreadsheet-based workflows. The system features a responsive Flutter Web frontend dashboard connected to a secure PHP & Laravel REST API infrastructure.

Key engineering decisions included:

• Local Cache Synchronization: Built-in local cache engines that save records during internet drops in rural sectors, syncing automatically when connectivity returns.
• Transactional Inventory Ledger: Strict database locks to track the assignment and usage of seed and chemical stocks.
• Automated Excel Compiler: A custom Laravel queue worker that aggregates database logs, formats cell styling, and compiles monthly reports into clean Excel files in under three seconds.
• Continuous Scaling & Feature Rollout: Sustaining a dedicated 30+ hours/week active development allocation to implement new administrative layers and prepare IoT soil moisture logging integrations.
